Leigh Ann DeTato graduated with honors from the National Massage Therapy Institute, in northeast Philadelphia, in 2008.  She also achieved becoming nationally certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork the following year.  Leigh loves finding out what she can do to help her clientele, and feels very honored to be a part of the healing process.    

Leigh is a native Floridian raised on the Central Florida Space Coast near the Kennedy Space Center.  She is a graduate from Florida State University and holds a degree in Music Therapy.  It was while at her internship in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania that Leigh met her husband, Joseph.  Two of Joe's high school band students introduced them.  After living in Atlanta for a short time, Joe and Leigh moved back to Pennsylvania.  They have lived in the Philadelphia suburbs since the fall of 1999.  They have four, beloved, furry children.  Leigh and Joe, both musicians,  enjoy singing together at weddings and other events.

After working in nursing homes for five years, Leigh found that she wanted to continue to help people in a different capacity.  She continued in the medical field and worked at three offices of optometry and ophthalmology for another five years.  During this time Leigh realized that she was most happy when working one on one with people.  She wanted to be more "hands on" with people.  

Leigh has certainly found her professional, "hands on" home in massage therapy!   She sees the integration of music therapy into her practice a very natural and easy pursuit also. 

During the interruption to her practice in 2020 due to the pandemic, Leigh has returned to her realization of being part of a whole wellness practitioner.  She completed an intensive and experiential certification program for Life Coaching in March of 2021.  Be sure to check out the "Life Coaching by Leigh" section and feel free to contact her about setting up a Complimentary Coach Session. 

And now, Leigh is also pursuing a certification in Spiritual Guidance.  She has recognized that many conversations about things people are concerned about fall under this category of exploration.  Check out this new offering and listen to any stirrings that might arise.
